These cables have a 12V cigarette lighter plug which you can use to charge the batteries in your GPS . They also have a data lead which will plug into a com port on a PC and can be used to transfer waypoints, routes, maps and for live GPS tracking. The data lead can be used inconjunction with GPS mapping software such as AeroPlanner, Anquet, EasyGPS, Mapsource, Memory Map, Microsoft Autoroute, Fugawi etc. The data cable comes with gold plated contacts on both ends.
This cable fits most Garmin eTrex GPS's, including eTrex, Camo, Summit, Venture, Legend and Vista. Also fits Geko 201 or Geko 301. Garmin equivalent ePlug cable. Requires a serial port on your PC. It does not fit the new Garmin Legend CX, Vista CX or Venture CX GPS which only have a USB Port. These units require a USB cable.
