Garmin Mapsource Maps are highly detailed Topographic Maps and turn your Garmin Handheld GPS into a powerfull navigation aid. These products are availble in either

• DVD format, which allows you to download the maps from your PC to a GPS. There is one product available which covers the whole of the UK.

Or

• SD cards which will fit a "X" series handheld GPS , ie one which has a X in the model number Vista CX, GPSMAP60 CSX etc. These come with an area of the UK already loaded, eg Northern Scotland Northern England & The Midlands. Note that these cards can only be used on a GPS receiver and that the maps cannot be viewed on a PC.

Magellan Topo are highly detailed Topographic Maps suitable for use with the Magellan Triton handheld GPS receivers. They come in three different regions - UK North, UK Mid and UK South.

Anquet mapping software is compatible with a wide variety of GPS systems, but it’s best to check to make sure that your unit is compatible before you make a purchase.
• Memory Map Navigation Software - For a more immersive GPS experience you might choose from Memory Map’s range of GPS navigation software. Their packages are all about planning routes to perfection, but also give the user the ability to fly through the route in full 3D before you set off, giving you a far fuller idea of the kinds of things you may encounter on the journey. Using Ordinance Survey data you’ll have all of the information available on paper, but this time fully customisable to suit your tastes. You could map out and define your most regularly traversed pathways with your home as head quarters, or expand your horizons further.
